If you’re wondering which is the best Bluetooth headset For construction workers, then read on to find out more!
Life as a construction worker can be taxing on the body and ears with long hours and constant loud noise from construction equipment. I’ve been working in home construction for a while now and I’ve found it quite relieving to listen to music while I get things done. Listening to high and low frequencies of machine sounds can take a heavy toll on your body and mind.
I used to wear the earphones I got with my phone but they lacked the ear enclosure to cancel out the construction noise surrounding me and made it difficult to listen to my favorite tunes and answer calls for updates on the construction.
I got a chance to check out some of the new headsets that had excellent noise cancellation and were comfortable to wear. I shortlisted my favorites that I think you should definitely check out if you are into construction or doing a month-long facelift to your current home.

Headphones for Construction Workers – Buyer’s Guide
In the field of construction, there can be so many different locations with different noise levels. Whatever the situation, having your ears completely enclosed with in-ears or closed over-ear headphones should be the first thing to look out for.
Active noise canceling should be your second, which is available on most headsets, this will help you have a clear conversation between you and the person on the other end.
Finally, the headsets you choose should be rugged and comfortable to use for long periods of time. It’s essential that you choose a pair of headsets that have foam padding over leather as it’s helps keep the ears cool and also a headset that offers ‘single touch controls’ as it’s easier to navigate and control the device especially when you’re operating heavy machinery.
How we rated these Bluetooth headsets for construction workers
We put over 30 different Bluetooth headsets through different tests to determine which ones are ideal for construction workers. Each headset was tested to see if they offer good noise cancelling capabilities since they’re going to be used primarily by construction workers, who generally operate heavy and loud machines on a daily basis.
Next we tested the battery life and checked if the headsets are designed to last for upwards of 10-12 hours. Since you’re not going to have all the time in the world to charge your headsets, it’s only logical to use a headset that lasts more than a single shift.
Finally we tested the headsets for whether they are waterproof or not. While a handful of headsets on this list don’t offer water resistance, they compensate with either built-in ANC or that they have a god battery life. Some headsets even come with all three features, which is amazing.
Based on our findings, the top 8 products have been listed and rated on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the score assigned to the best Bluetooth headset for construction workers.

It provides 8 hours of battery backup with three full tops of charge from the case giving you a total of close to 24 hours of the back. The headsets comes to a full charge in just 1.5 hours and the case comes to a full charge in 2 hours.

The first set of Bluetooth headset I have on my list is from the brand Audio-Technica that stands out for being affordable with exceptional audio quality and noise cancellation. It has an in-ear design that blocks out most of the construction noise when in the field.
The Bluetooth headset provides excellent robust bass with clear and crisp highs making it my top choice for construction workers. The unit also provides excellent battery life that lasts an entire day close to 15 hours from a single charge removing the need for you to charge it through your day in the field and with the case it will last 45 hours.

The reason for it to be in the 6th place is because of the price tag that falls very well on the expensive side. But what it offers you unmatched sound quality with an overall battery life of a whopping 30 hours with Active noise cancellation none of the above headsets provide this level of performance.
Some of the unique features are that you can turn on noise cancellation without music running. Perfect for a moment of silence to get your head together. It is fitted with a QN1 processor that offers the best noise cancellation in the field.

It provides a decent battery life of 24-hours that can a whole day of use and a little more which I found most construction workers will find good enough.
Unlike the Audio-Technica ATH-CKS5TWBK, the Sony WF-1000XM3 comes with active noise-canceling that I road-tested in the field and provided excellent results. But the downside is that with active noise-canceling the headset lasted only six hours.
To back the low battery life with noise cancellation Sony provided the quick charge feature that can provide the earbuds with 90 mins listening in just 10 mins of charge time.
One of the really cool features I found was the adaptive sound control through the app from Sony that helps adjust the background noise to a comfortable allowing you to be aware of your surroundings while you’re listening to your favorite tunes.

- Cuts out all external sounds

Jabra is a fairly new brand but has taken the market by storm with its amazing line of headsets and speakers. One headset that really stood out to me was the Jabra Steel which was designed keeping the everyday construction worker in mind.
These headsets were made to be rugged and designed to take a beating against dust and sand during construction and are also resistant to water damage. It has excellent noise cancellation that offers amazing clarity while taking calls and eliminates 90 percent of all background noise.

- Water resistant
Cons
- Low 6-hour battery life
- Available as a single unit
Rating: 4/5

Jabra Wave
Here is another Bluetooth headset from Jabra that isn’t as rugged as the Jabra Steel but stands out for a whole bunch of other reasons that makes it a great headset for construction workers.
This headset is excellent for construction managers who are on calls most of the time with different teams on the construction site. Though it lacks active noise canceling it still provides excellent sound quality and eliminates background noise and unwanted sounds by itself with the quality speakers and mic installed in the unit.

All of the above Bluetooth headsets stand out in their own unique way, but I found the ISOtunes the best when it comes to noise reduction as I can were my soundproof headset over the in-ears giving me maximum noise isolation. These are the best to use on a construction site.
