Best Chinese Studio Headphones 2023 | For Mixing and Recording

by Editor

I used to believe that the best Studio Headphones were those made and sold by American companies and there’s no doubt even for a second that they’re reliable.

But, have you ever tried a pair of Chinese Studio headphones?

Brands like Samson, Edifier, Ausdom and OneOdio are some of the most popular headphone names in China and it’s mainly to do with the quality of the audio produced while being priced at a very low rate.

I’m here to take you through what I feel are the best Chinese Studio Headphones of this year and how you can go ahead and buy them online from platforms like Amazon and AliExpress.

According to me, the top 10 best Chinese Studio Headphones are:

How to choose the best Chinese studio headphones?

Here are three main factors of Chinese studio headphones you have to keep in mind before buying one for yourself.

  • Wired or Wireless – It’s important to choose a headphone that’s portable and if you’re someone who can;t carry your phone or laptop everywhere you go, then it’s logical to get a wireless headphone. However, if you are a DJ and require a wired headphone to connect to your console, then definitely go ahead with the wired one as it’s much more convenient.
  • Comfort – Another thing to consider is the level of comfort the headphone provides. Make sure the ear cups are padded and have some form of cushioning so you don’t stress your ears. If you’re going to wear the headphones for a limited period of time then it’s not that important, but if you need to use the headphones for a couple of hours at a stretch, it makes sense to pick up one that offers the most comfort.
  • Durability – Chinese headphones are durable, unlike what people tend to say. They are made from great quality materials, but yes, you have to be careful and stick only to Chinese name brands and not unknown brands that only have product codes for their headphones. Search for one that’s made from high-grade materials which can withstand drops and falls.
  • Driver size – Another factor to consider is the size of the drivers as this will determine how loud the headphones are. Make sure the drivers are made from neodymium or are dynamic drivers with powerful magnets. Don’t go for a headphone that has cheap drivers as the quality of music will be low.

How we tested these Chinese studio headphones?

Over 30 different headphones were put through a series of tests to determine the best. Only the following 10 managed to make the cut as some of the best Chinese studio headphones money can buy.

The first test was to determine just how comfortable each headphone is to wear for long periods of time. Not all headphones are great and only a handful of them are quite soft and comfortable, these have been listed below.

Another test we conducted was the sound test to see if the sound clarity and quality are up to the mark. Since they are Chinese headphones, it’s important to check the clarity detail before making a purchase.

Finally, these headphones were put through a drop test which was done to check if they are durable or not. Most of them did break, but only the strongest survived to be a part of this top 10 list.

These selected products are rated on a collective scale of 1-5 with 4.5 and 5 being rated for products that are simply out of this world.
